The settings of each photo are available in various ways. For one, I'm guessing that the software the comes with a purchased camera should have settings that allow you to view the photo stats. Since I love all things Google, I have been using Picasa to view/organize my photos in. With Picasa, I'm able to right-click on any photo and view some stats. In Windows XP, you can right-click on an original photo file, choose Properties -> Summary -> Advanced and view the stats this way.

With sharing photos online, I've tried a number of things. Kodak Gallery allows you to share photos so that people can purchase copies if they want, but the viewing resolution isn't that great. I like Flickr because it uploads photos in different viewing sizes, even large ones that people can download, although only the 100 most recent photos are displayed unless you pay for a larger account. My latest test is Picasa Web Albums, an extension of Picasa. They let you store 250MB of photos and it's easy for people to download photos for themselves.

As far as the equipment/software I use, it's posted on my page aptly titled Equipment. Be sure to check out the other info pages located at the top of every page under "Site Navigation."

Hi Katherine!

Beautiful picuters! How did you get your setting information to show up (shutter speed, aperature, etc.?). What Adobe software are you using? Does can you make albums then allow you to share your albums? Do you like the Adobe? I am asking all these questions becuase I am having a tough time deciding on software for organizing my digital pictures. What kind of camera are you using?
The San Diego ones made me realize I miss living there. I loved the Zoo and Wild Animal Park. I guess I will hear all about your trip when I see your mom and dad September 17th. Hope to see you soon sometime! Joanne

I am excited about this blog. Your pictures are fantastic. I love good photography-- if you can't tell by looking at what I have hanging on my walls. A Picture a Day sounds so fun. I will look forward to looking everyday.
