Feathered Friend | April 3, 2007

Two caged parrots that I found at Restaurant Barrachina, whose claim to fame is the birthplace of the original piña colada in 1963. I had four piña coladas while in Puerto Rico, and in my humble opinion, Barrachina did not have the best (in fact they serve so many that the drink is premixed… ouch!).

That bird looks like it’s ready to bite you!

He’s very friendly, scared actually. The waiter who opened the cage for me so I could take close-ups said that the birds won’t even come out of the cage because it is their home (kinda sad?).

They didn’t when I was around. Squawk!
