how are you matting these?
Chris, for matting, I create one layer for the white matting, then another layer for the black frame. The extra space on the photo layer between the photo and the edge of the canvas size, where the matting and frame are, should remain transparent. Then I add an inner shadow (from Layer>>Layer Style) for both the photo and frame layers and make adjustments accordingly to get that 3D effect. Voila!
