I caught part of the parade at the MN State Fair on Saturday. Irondale High School’s marching band was one of a few to perform, and they were top-notch. This particular clarinetist was well disciplined in her marching.

The final of four images chosen from the photog commission for Grant’s prints. This is definitely my favorite. He wanted this image to look somewhat antique and bring out the wear and tear, so I played around with desaturation while still keeping the green color of the oxidized metal. I chose a light green for mat color to draw even more attention to it.

Music students carried their instruments across town in Huatulco, Mexico, and played music near the pier to attract money from those getting off the cruise ship.
