Live music at Liseberg in Gothenburg. Liseberg is Sweden’s largest amusement park. At Christmastime, it reopens and is bedecked with lights, sells holiday treats like gingerbread and hot glögg, and is a great place to shop for all sorts of Christmas gifts and decorations.

My first attempt at using light (my cell phone’s flashlight) to write something in the air, specifically a sketch of the Swedish flag in celebration of my first Midsommar. Taken at 2am on the shore of Lake Vänern, Sweden’s largest lake, in Hammarö, an island connected to the town of Karlstad.

My 4th of July was lacking in fireworks, so here’s a shot of New Year’s Eve at Sydney Harbour. This was taken during the 9 p.m. pre-show, a teaser if you will. If you look closely, you can see the Sydney Opera House perched under the bridge.
