About

meI’ve always wanted to live abroad and become fluent in a second language, but I never thought that Sweden would be the answer.

I moved to Sweden from the U.S. in November 2010 to be with my Swedish sweetheart whom I met in New Zealand, and thus this blog was born. This is where I intend to capture my musings about Swedish culture and share my experiences as an expatriate. If you are curious about something I haven’t written about, please leave a comment somewhere and ask. In addition, I love hearing about others’ experiences so don’t hesitate to add your thoughts.

The previous incarnation of this site was as my Travelog, a blog in which I wrote about my traveling experiences as they happened. Any post before December 2010 is from the Travelog.

As for a bit about me, I am into traveling (obviously), cooking and eating good food, photography, playing sports of all kinds, graphic and web design, and Bundaberg Ginger Beer. I am known to watch “Love Actually” every year before Christmas, play my clarinet, sing along to the theme music of “The West Wing,” have a (healthy) ‘thing’ for Justin Timberlake, be cold most of the time, and write letters.
